who we are
Alison and Ken Clarke are qualified Mountain Leaders with a wealth of experience in the hills, both in Scotland and overseas.
Alison has been adventuring in the hills since she was a girl, and loves stravaiging (wandering, exploring) and observing the flora and fauna of the uplands. She loves to share knowledge and stories of the plants, wildlife and landscape you will see on your walks, as well as helping you to develop your 'hillskills'. She is well on the way to compleating the Munros (Scottish hill over 3000ft), and over the Covid years has been exploring the Corbetts (2500-3000ft) and lower (but not lesser) hills closer to home. Alison has a particular interest in working with women to achieve confidence in being in the hills, whether alone or in a group. Ken came to Scotland on an Outward Bound course as a teenager and fell in love! He developed his hillwalking and climbing skills while a student and like Alison he loves stravaiging. He is also well on the way to compleating his Munros, and loves a good Corbett! Both Alison and Ken are qualified outdoor first aiders, members of the Mountain Training Association and insured with a specialist provider to the outdoor industry. |
